Welcome to the Child Crisis Network Library

This library has been established to provide access to various documents published by many different agencies concerned with child welfare. Like a conventional library, we encourage you to take out as many publications as you wish -- however, you never have to return them! In fact, we encourage you to copy the material here as much as you like.

"Our Missing Children" Program
"our missing children" program is made up of four government departments - Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) , Department of Justice Canada (DOJ) , Foreign Affairs Canada (FAC) , and National Missing Children Services (NMCS).  Although each department has their own function, "Our Missing Children" operates as one unit as Canada's National Clearinghouse for missing children.

Pedowatch

"Operation Blue Ridge Thunder works under the auspices of the Bedford County Virginia Sheriff's Office and is comprised of a cooperative group of law enforcement agencies on the international, federal, regional, state and local levels.  The Mission of Operation Blue Ridge Thunder is to safeguard our children from Internet crime by "weaving a seamless web of protection" around them, across the nation and around the globe.  A child's innocence can never be replaced."

Reporting Child Exploitation

Cyber Tip Line - The CyberTip line handles leads from individuals reporting the sexual exploitation of children.  NCMEC, in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, US Secret Service, US Postal Inspection Service, state and local law enforcement, and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces, serves as the national CyberTipline and as the National Child Pornography Tipline 1-800-843-5678.

Cyber Tip Canada - Canada's National Tipline for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children.  It is a centralized web portal for receiving and addressing reports from the public regarding child pornography, luring, child sex tourism, and children who are exploited through prostitution.  Cybertip.ca also provides the public with information, referrals and other resources to help Canadians keep their children safe while on the Internet.  Cybertip Hotline:  1-866-658-9022.

Inhope - The International Association of Internet Hotlines - The INHOPE Association exists to facilitate co-operation between Internet Hotline providers.  Its mission is to eliminate child pornography from the Internet and protect young children from harmful and illegal uses of the Internet.

The key functions of the Association are:

a.  Exchange expertise

b. Support new hotlines

c. Exchange reports

d. Interface with [relevant] initiatives outside the EU

e. Educate and inform policy makers, particularly at the international level

Crime on the Super Highway

Virtual Global Taskforce - The Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT) is made up of police forces from around the world working together to fight online child abuse.
